Last Monday, October 26, all the RUF ministers from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware converged on Lancaster for our fall staff meeting. We had a wonderful time of sharing and prayer together.
Tuesday morning Daniel installed a program on our RUF computers to enable us to use our old DOS database with Windows 10. Then I drove to Cambridge and arrived in time for a pleasant dinner with Solomon and Jane Kim. Solomon and I spent Wednesday discussing his ministry at MIT. He is still raising funds, but his ministry has achieved registered status at MIT and he has a solid Bible study under way.
Thursday and Friday I was in Providence, visiting Eddie and Annie Park. The ministry at Brown and Rhode Island School of Design is the largest in the Northeast and is prospering. Recently they also have been attracting students from Johnson and Wales University a few blocks away.
I had a delightful dinner with Eddie and Annie on Thursday. On Friday I met with Max, his intern, and some students at lunch. That night I preached at the Large Group meeting from Genesis 15, God’s making the covenant with Abraham.
It was a good visit to New England, and I returned home Saturday in time to rake and bag up the leaves.
