Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
After two months traveling, preparing, or recovering from travels I focused last week on serving our church. The personal highlight last week was leading the Good Friday service and preaching the sermon. I appreciate these opportunities to serve our congregation, and it meant Matt (our pastor) only had to prepare two sermons.
I spent two days preparing my notes and two days recording my Sunday School class on worship. I almost finished, but ran out of space on the memory card. It is 13 lessons, so quite a project. Two lessons to go, and I hope to finish this week. I’ll post a link when it is ready. Every day I worked on several pieces on my clarinet to play this morning. At least nine of us played various instruments throughout the service. I’m pleased to see more people involved.
Ruth and I had established a soft deadline of April 15 for deciding whether to accept the invitation to join the Malaysia team. We decided to go for it! Getting there will be a long process, but now that the decision is behind us we can begin moving ahead.
