In 17 hours we leave for Asia! Everything has been obtained and collected. Tomorrow we need to pack, print travel documents, and close up the house.
We spent last week preparing for our trip. I gave the liturgy group their final tutorial and officially handed over to them the production of our weekly liturgy booklets. I prepared a newsletter about our trip which should go in the mail this week. I filed the January expense report, which was complicated by expenses in two currencies and a software failure. Yesterday I drove to the Pocono Mountains to speak at a ski retreat for students from Delaware State University and West Virginia University. Meanwhile more travel details popped up. I spent a whole evening trying to find a place to get our COVID departure test. There are none in the Lehigh Valley that meet the requirements, so Ruth and I drove to Havertown today to be tested.
