Yesterday was packed with visitors! Ruth stayed at church for a baby shower for a young mother-to-be in our congregation. She returned home just in time to welcome Josh and Alexi Callen and their two boys. Josh and Alexi were dedicated members of our ministry at Lehigh University and we hadn’t seen them for a couple of years, so it was great to catch up. The boys played through all the toys in the house and were pleasantly behaved. They had hardly left to return home to Philadelphia when Michael and Natasha Goodlin arrived with all their children.
The highlight last week was our trip to Maryland. Christopher had been staying with us since returning from his hike in Vermont and needed a ride back to D.C. We left early Tuesday morning and arrived in time for lunch with Ginny and her girls. We spent the afternoon with Ginny and the girls at Ginny’s parents’ house, then dropped Christopher off where he is staying. Michael Carter, our friend Daniel’s age from Philadelphia days, invited us for a last-minute dinner where we met his three children.
The rest of the week was a bit of a scramble to fit everything in. I canceled my clarinet lesson and moved a couple of things to this week, but accomplished the most pressing items. Now I need to be efficient this week!
I’ve been working on a side project — some devotional guides — and finally finished. https://cdavidgreen.org/devotional/
