Last week was anchored by the fixed events: Sunday School lesson on worship, meeting with Matt (our pastor), and Bible study in Daniel. We studied Daniel chapter 2, where Nebuchadnezzar has a disturbing dream and attempts to kill all the wise men because they could not tell him what the dream was. When I asked who we identified with, everyone agreed on Daniel and the threatened wise men, but I was amused that Matt sided with Nebuchadnezzar. He thought the wise men were fakes who deserved to be punished.
There was a session meeting and a men’s social night. I also took care of a lot of administrative work.
We took Stephen to the airport Wednesday morning . The house is much quieter now, but we enjoyed his visit. Time now to dive into the fall chores.
