My task last week was to prepare for the adult Sunday School class which I will be teaching this fall. I spent the best part of each day formulating the course outline and preparing the lessons. I completed the outline, although I am sure I will make adjustments as I go, and I completed 4½ lessons. The first are always the most difficult, so I am happy with this strong start. I taught the first lesson this morning, and received one compliment. That’s better than some weeks! We plan to record these. I will post links when they are ready.
Ruth spent a lot of time last week in discussions with her brothers and various others preparing for her mother’s memorial service this Saturday. Her obituary is here.
This week will be a mixture of meetings, study, and administrative matters. Family members begin arriving on Thursday for the service on Saturday.
