I thought about titling this post “Spring Fever,” but I didn’t actually get outside to enjoy the warm, sunny spring weather. There wasn’t much! I guess it was a good week to be stuck inside, although I was getting cabin fever by Friday.
I thought I would finish all my spring quarter Sunday School lessons last week. Silly me! I did finish several, so let’s reset that goal for this week. I have a clear idea of what I want to do. It just takes longer than I wish to work out the details and get them on paper (so to speak). I discovered that I can only do several hours of this sort of creative work before I poop out and need to do something different.
Speaking of which, I made some good progress with the ongoing administrative work. I am responsible for preparing receipts for donors to our ministry. I have an automated system, but it needed some adjusting last week.
I participated in a long, but productive meeting of our elders. We had a very good discussion of improving the outreach of our church. They approved a short survey of the congregation which I had prepared, and responses have been coming in.
This Tuesday is supposed to be warn and sunny. Amen! I will be in presbytery most of the day.
