Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
I always wish to spend some extra devotional time on Passion Week, but each year the week gets crowded with other responsibilities. This year I was able to attend both our Maunday Thursday and Good Friday services. I also was able to spend more time in the scripture by preparing a sermon for the Good Friday service. I led that service – my first time to lead a service and preach on Good Friday! You can see the sermon here. It was a rewarding week.
My other major project last week was cleaning and updating my database – the addresses of people who get our newsletters and prayer emails, and which lists they are on. There are 1500 people in our system (not all active!), so this is taking a while. But I think we’ll be able to wrap it up in a couple of weeks.
Coming up: finish the lesson for Sunday School through May and write four Bible studies for our regional summer conference. Benjamin is here for Easter, so I might be able to pull him into some projects.
