Last week was fairly peaceful. Staff training is behind us and fall semester has not yet begun. We’re starting to gear up for a new semester. I straightened out some confusion with our websites and began planning my fall travels. Campus ministers are sorting out ideas for outreach, Bible studies, and preaching. They will be busy in the next couple of weeks setting up new means of ministry so they will be well-prepared before students arrive. Which is a moving target, as universities are constantly adjusting their policies in an effort to teach students while keeping them safe.
My big project last week was preparing the sermon for today, as our pastor was out of town. I preached on Genesis 32:22-32 – Jacob’s wrestling match with God. You can see a video of it here.
