August 4, 2019 –Bethlehem

It happened again! Last Monday our flight to Detroit was delayed and we missed our connecting flight to Bethlehem. The Detroit airport is not a bad place to spend an afternoon, but it meant that we didn’t get home until 11:00 PM.

Last week was a jumble of house and ministry tasks. I mowed the lawn (twice!), supervised roof repair, had rust spots removed from the car, saw a play, and went to a birthday party. Michael Goodlin was the only man I supervise with whom I did not meet the previous week, so I met with him on Thursday. There were numerous emails and phone calls, a delightful visit with alumni, but the largest event was working on my fall travel schedule. The outline is finished. This week I need to start filling in the details.
