This is an eerie time for me. Campus ministers are racing to get ready for the arrival of students in the next couple of weeks – I’m getting a steady stream of emails requesting prayer for freshmen outreach – but I have few scheduled activities. They certainly don’t want me showing up while they are busy welcoming students. So I spend these couple of weeks preparing my travel schedule, preparing for my Sunday School class, and getting the house and office in order for another year.
I finished repairing the basement walls. I hope we can install a new furnace and hot water heater this week. I’d like to get everything working again before I hit the road.
