September 10, 2017 — Last week at home

Tomorrow I fly to Akron, Ohio, then return and drive to Millersville. The travels begin! So last week was my final push before I begin visiting campuses.

I can describe last week as a series of day-long events. I spent one day booking airline flights for fall and winter. It seems ridiculous to say that, but that’s what it takes to schedule flights to cover my responsibilities. I spent one and a half days with doctors. That was the end of the major medical check-ups, Lord willing. One day was with men interested in RUF, and one day was at Lehigh. I spent a half day driving to visit a pastor, and one day at presbytery. Between these events I worked on a newsletter and kept the email at bay. Michael Goodlin is a bit overwhelmed as the new campus minister at Lehigh, but he is doing fine and the ministry is going well. This year will be a bit rocky, but I don’t see any serious problems at this point.

I feel ready to plunge into the fall travels. Pray for me!
