October 27, 2019 — Glenside and Millersville

Last Monday I had lunch with the local pastors, then spent the rest of the day in the office. Tuesday morning I drove to Glenside for a meeting with pastors at Westminster Theological Seminary. Everyone was from the Philadelphia area and we discussed beginning RUF at some campuses there. I met a couple of students that afternoon and spent all day Wednesday meeting seminary students. A few are strongly interested in working with RUF, but such events are also prime opportunities to spread the word about our ministry. I drove out to Millersville Wednesday late afternoon.

Thursday and Friday I met with Trip Beans and discussed his ministry at Millersville University. I also talked with several student leaders and attended the Large Group Meeting Thursday night. Ruth and Joy joined us for dinner Friday night. Last year was a challenge because some strong leaders had graduated. Trip and Joy are rebounding and this year is more encouraging. They work very hard and do wonderful ministry. I met with their intern, Matt, who is an encouragement to them.

We drove home on Saturday and caught up on chores here. Tomorrow we drive back to Lancaster for the fall Mid-Atlantic staff day.
